Convection Oven Directions
Please note: Equipment varies, so it’s essential to test your settings using these baseline recommendations.
- Apply your sublimation transfer using heat tape, ensuring a tight fit around the tumbler to prevent air pockets.
- For full-wrap designs, tape securely along the seam and top/bottom of the tumbler. Cover any exposed metal with blowout paper to ensure complete coverage.
- Next, apply shrink wrap using a heat gun, ensuring a tight seal around the tumbler.
- Bake in a convection oven at 385-400°F for 5-6 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even heating.
Caution:
- If the tumbler touches a metal surface during baking, the shrink wrap may melt.
- Remove the tumbler immediately from the oven carefully remove the shrink wrap and transfer (the tumbler will be hot!).
No sealant is necessary on sublimation tumblers, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the design’s integrity, as high heat in dishwashers may cause bleeding.
